The Mighty Nein, the most recent animated series from Critical Role, revealed a new opening credits. It features the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and rogues kicking ass and making their mark, while teasing at several agonizing backstories for key figures such as Liam O'Brien's wizard Caleb, and another actor's warlock orc, Fjord.

All in all, the intro appears stunning. However, I felt that an element was missing in the song choice.

The intro employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional composition composed by producer and singer the talented musician. This piece originating from the soundtrack album of that title, the second one put out by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a wonderful nostalgic option, and I suspect that fans of the second campaign will love its presence.

But for me, The Mighty Nein's intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and excitement that accompanied the show's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", written by singer-songwriter Jason Charles Miller, became an immediate hit in my view when it was first revealed in that year, and it only got better when co-founder the performer wrote words to the tune for the series' animated intro in the later year.

Including singing from one actress, another performer, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the song was catchy and enjoyable. Back then, I hadn't seen the follow-up series yet, but this was such an earworm that I kept it on my phone. This track that excites you before you start an installment of adventurous fun.

The show's opening with "the new song" doesn't strike the same chords in my opinion. It's a grand piece of music, but based on my understanding of the group, I can't help but feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Of course, Critical Role has already said that the series will have a few surprises and variations from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its intro appears as one of them.
