Fresh Information Surface Regarding the Discovery of the Reiner Couple's Bodies

New information has come to light about the untimely deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence property on Sunday.

A Alarm

As detailed in an account referencing a confidential source, a practitioner arriving for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after not being able to enter the residence. This individual then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the residence, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Her roommate who had gone with her then dialed 911. Following this, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Charges

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, including the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held and is ineligible for bail.

Disputed Reports

The person close to the family also disputed several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that moment.

Furthermore refuted circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to accounts of alleged "erratic" conduct by Nick at a party thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. While the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that claims of a "blow-up" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts indicated the condition of their bodies implied they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the family home. He was set to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
