Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who leaped a barrier and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, winning a pair for best costume and production design.
