Details of the Serious Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault â some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen â between 2017 and 2021. A deputy chief CPS official stated, âLegal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.â Scope of the Police Inquiry The charges follow what police described as a âdetailed inquiryâ into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley. The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January. List of Charges The charging documents said the 45 charges include: Fifteen counts of assault. Seventeen counts of penetrative assault. 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen. 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
